About Graham D. Donath

Graham D. Donath attended Claremont McKenna College where he was named a Distinguished Scholar and a member of the Dean’s list.  During that time he worked for United States Senator Barbara Boxer in her Los Angeles office, and began pursuing his legal career.  Upon graduating from Claremont McKenna with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government, he spent a brief amount of time working for renowned jury and trial consultants Donald Vinson and Jo-Ellan Dimitrius before moving on to law school.

He attended the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, during which time he clerked for the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office in the Sexual Assault/Family Protection and Felony Narcotics units.  This experience enabled him to recognize his passion for working as a defense attorney rather than as a prosecutor.  He received his Juris Doctorate from U.C. Hastings  and was granted admission to the State Bar of California by examination immediately after graduation.  He established a successful entertainment and real property transactional practice, eventually transitioning to his true interest, criminal defense.

Mr. Donath worked in Riverside as a Deputy Public Defender of Riverside County, where he was named Misdemeanor Trial Attorney of the Year.  He has handled thousands of Felony, Misdemeanor, and Juvenile criminal matters successfully, obtaining excellent results for his clients both through negotiation and in trial.  He is a member of the California Public Defender’s Association and the Orange County Bar Association.
